Frequently Asked Questions

  • Getting started is simple. You can reach out directly via phone or email. You can also request an appointment directly through the Patient Portal.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation call if you’d like to briefly connect, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit. If you prefer, you’re welcome to move straight into scheduling your initial evaluation session.

  • The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, your goals, and relevant medical and mental health history.

This time also allows you to ask any questions about the therapy process and get a sense of whether the space feels comfortable and like a good fit for your needs.

  • The initial evaluation session typically lasts 60–75 minutes.

Ongoing therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length and are scheduled on a recurring basis. Frequency may vary depending on your needs and goals, with options for weekly, biweekly, or less frequent sessions.

  • I am currently in the process of becoming credentialed with several insurance plans. In the meantime, services are available on a private pay basis, and private pay will continue to be an option.

Because the credentialing process is outside of my control, there is no guaranteed timeline for when insurance plans will become active. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out. I will update my website accordingly.

  • My fees for private pay are as follows:

    • Initial evaluation session (60–75 minutes): $190

    • Ongoing therapy sessions (50 minutes): $165

For clients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement, a superbill can be provided upon request. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies depending on your individual insurance plan and benefits.

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, all private pay clients are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services prior to treatment.

  • At this time, I provide therapy exclusively through telehealth. Sessions are conducted using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform (SimplePractice), allowing you to attend from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Telehealth offers a flexible and convenient way to access care while maintaining the same level of quality and connection as in-person therapy.

  • Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law.

There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality, including situations where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or if records are required by a court order.

These limits to confidentiality will be reviewed in more detail during your first session so you have a clear understanding of your privacy and rights.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and comfortable sharing openly.

  • At this time, I provide therapy services to teens (14+) and adult clients located in Florida and Illinois.

  • A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to the full session fee.

  • Yes — I offer a limited number of reduced-fee/sliding scale appointments when available. I believe quality mental health care should feel accessible and human. Availability is based on current openings and financial need. Please feel free to reach out if cost is a barrier and we can discuss available options together.
